Dr Andrzej Krasuski Radca Prawny Dr Andrzej Krasuski Radca Prawny, Of-Counsel, CMS Cameron McKenna
Andrzej Krasuski is in charge of the Telecommunications and Media Practice in the Warsaw office of CMS Cameron McKenna. He advises clients on various aspects relating to conducting business activity in the telecommunications sector.
Andrzej Krasuski is a qualified legal advisor and holds a PhD in telecommunications law. He is the author of a number of specialised publications, including a commentary to the telecommunications law of 16 July 2004, as well as a monograph about agreements on providing telecommunications services. Andrzej Krasuski often lectures at conferences on telecommunications law and personal data protection. He is fluent in German and English.

Angel has been Director of Wholesale Business at Telefonica España since January 2008. From 1999 to Dec 2007 he was Director of Regulation and Wholesale Business in Telefonica Moviles España. He joined Telefónica in 1982 working in different areas including O&M, Senior Accounts, International Services and Carrier Business.

Arun Dehiri has 16 years of media and telecoms experience. Arun spent 8 of these years in key industry roles within BSkyB, Orange and the other 8 as a strategy consultant. After 4 years at Adventis (a Boston based telecoms consultancy), Arun founded, and was Managing Director of Redbox Consulting - a niche, specialist telecoms and media company delivering focused research and consultancy advice. Redbox was acquired by Analysys Mason in February 2008, and Arun is now their Director of Telcos Consulting.
Within industry, Arun managed BSkyB’s marketing budget, and was the Head of Revenue and Pricing for Orange UK and Head of Controlling at Orange Switzerland. He now advises blue chips and new entrants across Europe, Asia and USA on key topics including MVNO, pricing, proposition development, distribution and convergence. Arun’s has managed engagements for major clients including BT (Global), Tiscali (Czech Repubilc), O2 (UK), Orange (UK and France), Virgin (UK), ONO (Spain), Vodafone (Ireland), Disney (USA), Telenet (Belgium), Etisalat (UAE, Egypt), and Ofcom(UK). He has also developed a methodology to help clients fast-track the route to becoming an MVNO, including negotiating airtime deals and wholesale contracts and business plans. He has also developed a unique capability to help clients develop competitive, stable and profitable tariffs and propositions. Arun has developed a flexible architecture solution for operators and MVNEs to launch sub-brands and new MVNOs. Arun has a Chartered Accountancy qualification from Price Waterhouse, London, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of Kent.

Bernd FreierBernd Freier, Director, Telecoms and Media, Logica
Bernd joined Logica as a Director within the international Telecoms and Media business. He is responsible for the management of Logica's BSS portfolio, strategic business development for telecoms and media as well as the management of the strategic partners in this area. Prior to joining Logica, Bernd worked at Ericsson Germany as business development manager and principal in business consulting and previously, at Atos Origin in Central Europe where he was head of telecoms consulting.
Bernd has extensive experience of developing MVNO services, systems and business models and has provided consultancy to several major international companies looking to develop an MVNO business plan and market entry strategy. He has also spoken at a variety of events on subjects including MVNOs, Web 2.0 to 3.0 and IMS: evolution of service delivery towards all-IP. Bernd has an MBA from Australian Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Computer Engineering from Berlin University of Technology.


Bob FalconerBob Falconer, Chief Executive, Gamma Telecom, UK
Bob has been CEO of Gamma Telecom since June 2004.
Gamma is a UK based supplier of telecommunications services to the business market via some 400 resale channel partners. Products are fixed line and hosted telephony services, based on a deep network capability and mobile via a business MVNO.
From 1994 to 2002 Bob was a Director of Racal Telecom (subsequently Global Crossing), with responsibility for all operational and technical aspects of the business. From 1987 to 1994 Bob was the global telecoms manager for ICI (prior to the de-merger of Zeneca), developing a global internal business unit providing consistent network services to ICI's businesses, JV's and trading partners worldwide.
Bob's early career was at BT's Research Laboratories where he took a lead role in the development of multi-service networks, fault-tolerant systems, and patents for high reliability synchronisation systems.
Bob is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh and a Fellow of the IET.

D. Meyer was graduated 1996 from ESIEA (French engendering school specialized in IT, electronic and Automatic) After two years working in the IT Integration department of British Telecom he joined the Program Management at Bouygues Telecom for four years. In charge of the coordination of Bouygues Telecom IT commercial system, he managed more than 60 people around projects as the integration of PREVENTEL solution with the Bouygues telecom information system.
Changing mobile area for fixed line and DSL operator he built as business engineer at neuf telecom the private label offer for bank and run businesses like "Cario" with Credit Agricole and "Guideo" with Banque Populaire (two virtual internet service provider offered fixed line and DSL branded with their name) Tree years ago he joined Experian and propose to penetrate the MVNO business. Working first on the marketing of the MVNE offer of Experian, he’s in charge today of the BU dedicated to MVNO. Successful with Carrefour mobile and tele2, his mission consist on developing new MVNO deals worldwide, marketing new offers for telco and making partnerships with MNOs.

CEO of Mobile Entertainment Company, the company that runs largest MVNO in Poland - MOBILKING. In the past he worked in a number of sales and marketing executive positions in telecom, FMCG and ICT sectors in Central and Eastern Europe. Previous engagement with Kofola, largest Central European soft drinks producer and landline incumebement in Czech Republic allowed him to combine telecommunications, technology and fast moving consumer goods branding experience into successful launch of a new telecommunications venture in Poland- MOBILKING.

Dirk FreiseDirk Freise, Managing Director, blau Mobilfunk, Germany
Dirk Freise (40) graduated distinction in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg with a specialisation in Marketing, Logistics and Industrial Organization. In 1995 he started to work as Project Manager at Apel & Wegner, a boutique market research company with a focus on international studies for technology.
In 1998 he was awarded a DAAD scholarship which led him to Berkeley where he graduated with an MBA in 2000, focussing on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. During his stay in the USA he set up the dotcom handy.de along with Martin Ostermayer and Thorsten Rehling, being responsible for Marketing and IT. After selling the business to the Bertelsmann Group in 2002, Dirk Freise still acted as Managing Director of handy.de until 2005. He was significantly involved in integrating handy.de (now named aravato mobile) into the Bertelsmann Group and establishing the company as the leading mobile entertainment provider in Europe.
In 2005 he abandoned arvato mobile to build up the mobile discounter blau Mobilfunk, again along with Martin Ostermayer and Thorsten Rehling. With more than 1 million customers blau Mobilfunk is considered one of the most successful mobile discounters in Germany. In spring 2008 it was taken over by the Dutch company KPN, which also owns E-Plus. In his function as one of three Managing Directors of blau Mobilfunk, Dirk Freise is responsible for Product Management, Operations and IT.

Freddy Lundmark is today responsible for all Product Development and Service Delivery for Service Providers and MVNO's connected to Telenor Sweden's mobile network. In the sales process Freddy is responsible for the technical design of the customer agreements and its practical realization where one of the main tasks is to ensure that the customer receives a technical and commercial solution that supports the client's strategic business focus. Freddy has been working with Service Providers and MVNO's since 2001 and is one in the original team that created the Mobile Wholesale Business at that time. He has followed the company's name journey from Europolitan in 2001 via Vodafone Sweden to Telenor Sweden today and has been working with mobile wholesale businesses under all these brand's


Haim KantorHaim Kantor, VP Marketing & Sales, Amdocs NBU
Haim Kantor leads all marketing and sales activities for the Amdocs Network Business Unit, working with high-growth service providers. Haim has been integral to developing Amdocs’ market strategy with leading MVNO/Es and in expanding the company’s relationship with them. He speaks routinely at industry events and is a regular commentator in the trade press.
Prior to joining Amdocs in 2008, Haim was associate vice president of Marketing, Converged Billing, at Comverse, where he worked for nearly 10 years in various marketing and sales positions with a focus on prepaid and convergent billing. Prior to Comverse, Haim worked in research and development at Callware Technology.


Jesus Pascualena Aguirre Jesus Pascualena Aguirre , Dirección de Análisis Económico y Mercados, CMT (Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones), Spain
Jesús Pascualena Aguirre is a head of section in Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones’ department of economic analysis and markets. He joined CMT in October 2003. His work has focused primarily on competition analysis of mobile and broadband markets according to new EU electronic communications legal framework, particulary, the markets for access and call origination and voice call termination on mobile networks and the market for wholesale unbundled access to metallic loops for the purpose of providing broadband and voice services. His experience also includes margin squeeze cases in the broadband internet services market, annual reports on the evolution of Spanish telecommunications sector and reports for the National Competition Authority in merger cases.
Prior to joining CMT, Jesús worked for NERA Economic Consulting, in the telecommunications practice based in Madrid, on a variety of regulatory and competition issues such as the assessment of different regulatory regimes, market definition and the analysis of competition, regulatory accounting issues, the setting of interconnection charges, access deficit and universal service.
Jesús has a BA in Economics from University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, and an MA in Industrial Economics from Carlos III University in Madrid. In his BA he specialized in Quantitative Economics, and in his MA in transport and telecommunications.

John Strand has a background in Sales and Marketing in the IT and Publishing Sector and from 1989 has been consulting on strategies, sales and marketing, ending as a partner at a consultancy.
In 1994 John founded Strand Consult. In the early days of Strand Consult the primary focus was on CRM - analyzing and evaluating sales processes and performance for the IT, Telco, Media and Finance sector and helping customers optimize these, enabling them to move more merchandise at reduced cost.
Very quickly, as a growing number of customers came in from the mobile sector, John realized that here was a sector that was already evolving fast and would face enormous challenges as the infrastructure and terminals developed. Kresimir Profaca is a managing director of Croatian-American firm Telcro Grupa. Founded in 2006, Telcro Grupa is the first firm to actively pursue MVNO model in Croatia. Within Telcro, Kresimir is responsible for designing and implementing company's strategy, overseeing regulatory issues and development as well as coordinating partner's relations.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and telecommunications in 1996, Kresimir worked in the software and Internet industry for seven years in the USA. Kresimir held various operational and leadership roles. Kresimir co-founded one Internet startup and software services firm in Philadelphia, PA. In 2004 Kresimir became a head of strategy for T-Mobile Croatia, responsible for drafting company's corporate strategy and overseeing its implementation in various functional areas, but primarily in marketing, sales and customer services. In 2006 Kresimir co-founded Telcro Grupa, first Croatian MVNO. Kresimir holds Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France), specializing in strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship.


Liudvikas AndriulisLiudvikas Andriulis, Chief Marketing Officer, Effortel
Mr. Liudvikas Andriulis (29) has 10 years of experience in telecommunications and IT. Mr. Andriulis started as an ISDN product manager in Lithuania. He then went on to lead the mobile internet business for 'Bite', the second largest mobile operator in the country. During his 5 year tenure, Liudvikas oversaw the implementation and development of GPRS, EDGE and UMTS networks, as well as building a successful fixed-wireless broadband internet business. Three years ago, Mr. Andriulis left to become the CEO of 'Eurocom', the largest MVNO in the Baltics, where he launched TeleMaxima, a highly successful prepaid service based on integration with the biggest Baltic retailer, Maxima. After that he relocated to Brussels to join Effortel and lead the company's marketing efforts around the globe.

Markus Freikamp is a Senior Business Development Manager at T-Mobile International's Sales Channel Development Division. He is having more than 13 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and is holding two degrees from RWTH Aachen University in Communication Engineering and Business Economics. Markus is with the T-Mobile Group for seven years and is currently responsible to develop new wholesale-centric partnerships across T-Mobile's European footprint. Before focussing on wholesale partnerships, Markus held several Business Development positions across Corporate and Consumer Telephony Solutions.


Mike ConradiMike Conradi, Partner, Kemp Little, UK
Mike is a partner at specialist technology law firm Kemp Little LLP, and his focus is on giving both commercial and regulatory advice to clients in the communications and technology sectors. His interest in the sector dates back to 1998-9 when he was placed on secondment to OFTEL, as it then-was, advising on international telecoms regulation.
Mike joined Kemp Little (described by the Legal 500 as "The City's outstanding technology focused law firm") in August 2006, having previously been head of the technology practice at another city firm. Before then he worked for 8 years with a large international law firm. Mike is admitted to practice in England and Wales and in New South Wales, Australia.

Since then Lycatel has grown from a team of 20 to over 500 professionals. Milind has 17 years of broad experience in leadership positions in blue chip organisations such as Motorola, MashreqBank psc, the UAE's number one private Bank. At MashreqBank as head of the customer knowledge based marketing, market research and the financial and strategic planning teams, Milind developed the functions from their inception to deliver customer acquisition, retention, and cross-selling programs contributing to $150 million in portfolio growth across products. Milind is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing awarded by the CIM. Paul Merry is a research analyst with Informa Telecoms & Media with 10 years of research analysis experience. Paul has lead authored several reports across the Informa Telecoms portfolio including MVNO Strategies (2nd edition), Mobile Entertainment, Mobile Transactions in Europe and Global Mobile Prepaid Strategies and Forecasts.
During his time as research analyst Paul has authored and co-authored several strategic reports on the subjects of telecommunications, the internet, Metropolitan Area Networks, billing and CRM and has undertaken a range of consultancy projects including the evaluation of business strategies, market potential of new technologies and economic modelling. Rod MatthewsRod Matthews, Chairman, Abica Mobile, UK
Rod Matthews has built a high profile in the UK technology sector in the course of the last 30 years. Based on a sustained record of high achievement, his contribution was officially recognised in 1991 by the award of an MBE. He has held C level executive positions with companies such as Versapoint, Global Crossing, ICL, STC and the CEGB. As founder of ScottishTelecom (now Thus) in 1993, he created a new template for converged communications using both fixed and mobile networks. His current board positions include abica, business MVNO; Keycom Plc, a UK provider of broadband to shared accommodation units and Zamano Plc, a world leader in interactive mobile content.


Rolf HansenRolf Hansen, Founder and CEO, Simyo, Germany
Rolf Hansen (1966) studied at the European Business School and Münster College of Higher Education, obtaining a degree in economics (specialist subjects: marketing and finance).
From 1990 to 1993 Rolf Hansen was employed by Hutchison Mobilfunk GmbH in Münster, where he attained the post of Marketing Manager. In 1993 he joined Deutsche Telekom Mobilfunk DeTeMobil GmbH in Bonn, where he played an active role in the founding of the company and headed the Marketing Services Division up to 1994. Parallel with this, Rolf Hansen was a co-founder and director of ABC Marketing & Consulting Partners GmbH in Horstmar until 1995. In 1995 he became a co-founder and managing partner of Skillnet GmbH in Hamburg, before setting up his own Rolf Hansen Management Consulting GmbH in 1997. In 1999 he was appointed to the management of the ProSieben Media AG / MGM Media Group in Munich, with special responsibility for multimedia strategy. From 1999 to 2001, Rolf Hansen was both manager and director of Letsbuyit.com in Munich, London and Amsterdam. He was then appointed managing director of Spectrum Strategy Consultants in Düsseldorf, where his clients included Barclays Capital, Bertelsmann and Vodafone D2. In 2002 he founded Rolf Hansen Management Consulting GmbH in Meerbusch, serving clients such as T-Online International and Otto Versand (Mail Order). In his capacity as a consultant, Rolf Hansen headed various projects for Vodafone D2 GmbH in Düsseldorf between 2003 and 2004.
Rolf Hansen is both the founder and managing partner of simyo GmbH and has been in charge of the company's market entry operations since April 2004.


Scott AllisonScott Allison, CEO, Abica Mobile
While Scott was busy gaining a BA Hons Marketing degree at Glasgow’s Strathclyde University, he also founded his first business, Freedom Phones and continued to grow this before and after graduation in 1999. Building on his early interest in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Freedom Phones grew into a profitable online business specialising in advanced mobile phones, PC data cards and smartphones. Recognising the need for a specialist mobile resller, the company changed direction and became Access Business Communications. abica is the evolution of this business and offers converged mobile, landline and broadband services to SMEs. Scott’s long history in telecoms has seen him contribute to industry journals and he is an active member of The Entrepreneurial Exchange, an organisation of leading Scottish business people whose membership includes Richard Emanuel, who established DX Communications before selling it to O2 and now owns Dexcom Holdings a leading European telecoms retailer with revenues in excess of EUR 500M.

After 1 decade in television and music industry, Thomas Desarnaud joined Universal Music in 2004 for the launching of Universal Music Mobile with Bouygues Telecom as Senior VP in charge of maketing. In 2007 he took the head of Universal Music SMP (Strategic Marketing Partnership), a Unit of Universal Music France that helps companies in creating new offer on their market using music, entertainment or any Universal Music Knowhow in order to increase their customer base or the loyalty of their clients.
The main clients of Universal Music SMP in France are : Mobile : Bouygues Telecom with the Universal Music Mobile offer, Orange with PSG mobile, OM mobile, ASSE mobile (football clubs mobile) prepaid offer, Bank : Societe Generale with the So Music Credit Card offer.

Timo is responsible for corporate strategy and advertising business at Blyk, and was one of the first to join the company. Timo has a diverse entrepreneurial, strategy and business building background. Prior to Blyk, Timo was the Founding CEO of CRF Inc (www.crfhealth.com). Under Timo’s leadership, in just five years the Company became the global market leader in electronic patient diaries and wireless data capture in clinical R&D - serving the top 20 pharmaceutical companies across their clinical programs in over 60 countries. Timo has also held positions at Nokia and McKinsey&Company. Timo has a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Management and Telecommunications Software from Helsinki University of Technology, where he is also finishing a Ph.D. in technology evaluation. In his leisure, he likes to sport, hike and see arts.


Valentina Rivoira Dr Valentina Rivoira, Project Manager , Telecom Italia
Valentina Rivoira is Project Leader for Innovative Services in Telecom Italia. She leads activities on new services and business opportunities enabled by technology innovations. At present she focuses on Mobile Search & Advertising, MVNOs, Communities & Virtual Worlds, Mobile and Convergent services. Since 2001, she’s been working with the Marketing and Strategy departments of TIM and Telecom Italia.
She has led "Communicating Innovation", to transfer new technologies and service concepts from research labs to the market. She joined CSELT, the R&D branch of Telecom Italia, in 1999 to work on Next Generation Services.
She ran her own business offering consulting and training services on Strategy, Marketing, Communication, Media creation, Web Design. She graduated with Honors in Communication Sciences in 1998.


Wilfred RottierWilfred Rottier, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) & Chief Operations Officer (COO), Ortel, Germany
As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) & Chief Operations Officer (COO), Mr. Rottier is responsible for all the sales, marketing and communication activities of the Ortel Mobile Group in Europe. He supervises product and business development at a strategic and operational level. Mr. Rottier has a wealth of experience. He spent 14 years in various commercial positions in the FMCG sector, and the last ten years in the telecommunication industry, including serving as Managing Director for Axxon Telecom.
